About Art's Militaria

Art’s Militaria & Memorabilia is a partnership of Art & Betty Funk. It operates as a mail order business from its own website and from its store on eBay with over 3000 line items in inventory.

Art & Betty started the business in 1992 when Betty took an early retirement from her position as purchasing manager for an aircraft maintenance company in Miami and they moved to Tampa, FL. Since leaving active duty, Art had worked in a number of sales and management positions for companies engaged in surface & air cargo movement and in office products distribution.

Art & Betty operated a concession at the base exchange at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL, from October 1992 until April 2006. In their shop they sold a variety of militaria including ball caps, stickers, patches, pins and other memorabilia. The shop was very well-known among active duty, reserve and retired troops who were stationed at MacDill and lived in the area and became a popular destination for exchange shoppers.

Art’s Militaria began selling some inventory on eBay auctions in April 2005 and it soon became apparent that there is a real demand for this kind of merchandise among buyers in the eBay community. Art’s Militaria & Memorabilia was opened as eBay store in May 2005. The continuing aim of Art’s Militaria is to providing memorabilia for veterans at fair prices and fair shipping charges.
